Coil Pots 

Make a coil pot on the Machine - These lovely pots are quite addictive to make and mesmerising to watch them grow on your machine. In this 2 hour workshop you will make your own pot. Molly will demonstrate how to add handles and wrap the cord with fabric to add variation and colour to your pots. The uses for the pots are too many to list here and they can be made in a variety of sizes. There will also be a detailed worksheet of useful hints and tips to remind you for when you want to make more at home. Familiarity with using a machine is useful, but not essential.

Molly has teamed up with Transition Town Chester and Just Footprints to have a Morsbags Workshop.

Molly will be there with all you need to make a fabric bag. She will guide you through how to use a sewing machine to make a bag. All bags made will be donated to the local Food Bank.

ALL WELCOME - those with sewing experience and those with none.

Donate - if you have lengths of fabric, old curtains or duvet covers, please donate them to use to make bags. Email Molly to find out where to drop them off.

Sewing Machines for the Terrified

Molly has many years of sewing experience to pass on. She is also skilled at helping you to learn at your own pace. This will be a small and cosy group, with a maximum of six students. So there will be plenty of time to be shown how to do things, and more then once where needed.

Molly will show you how thread a machine, wind a bobbin, make straight and curve seams. You will have time to familiarise yourself with the machine and practice.

In the afternoon you will make an attractive cushion cover, under the expert advice of Molly.

All materials included.

Light lunch, tea and coffee included.

Up-cycled Denim Coaster - Clamshells on the Sewing Machine.

Join Molly for this 2.5 hour workshop and make at least one coaster from up-cycled denim. 

Molly will show you several ways to piece the Clamshell shape, you can select the style you prefer.

You will be provided with all the materials required to make the coasters.

Simple Knitting Techniques

Sunday 2nd June 10am - 4pm

Venue - Abakhan Altrincham

So you can knit and purl, cast on and cast off, but you would like to take your knitting to the next level. Join Molly for a day of learning how to improve your techniques, learn about blocking, button holes, as well as adding colour and texture to your work. She provides excellent worksheets, so when you get them home, you have a handy reference about the skills you have learnt.

How to Use a Pattern

Not sure where to start with following a pattern, then join Molly for the day on this workshop. She take you through what all symbols mean on a pattern. 

You will make this lovely Kimono style jacket. The places are limited to just six people.
